These two paintings were completed in 2022 for a commission. The client asked for two paintings in portrait mode to accompany an existing landscape painting. It was important for me to compliment their current painting that depicted a beautiful canal scene. I used the theme of water and bridges in my paintings to bring all the artworks together. Essential to my client was the use of colour, they wanted the paintings to be very bright and cheerful. It was wonderful to work on these paintings and a joy to use such a lovely, uplifting colour palette.
