Linocuts

A collection of linocut prints that I have produced, inspired by beautiful landscapes and wildlife. The linocut process encourages me to use gestural and detailed mark-making to create illustrative works. Multiblock prints, as the name suggests, are made using more than one linocut block. Producing a multiblock print involves much planning to decide what colours to use where and in what order. Each block is printed using a semi-transparent ink so the layers beneath are visible through subsequent layers. This makes the process of printing multiblocks both challenging and incredibly fascinating.
